From team leaders to team choreographers, stars like Cam Bynum, and Amon-Ra St. Brown proved to everyone this year that their skills stretch beyond the gridiron. Using their unique flair to bring some of the most creative celebration dances to the end-zone this year. In a league defined by its physical and mental demands, these moments offer a welcome reprieve, fostering a sense of unity and fun for players and spectators alike. Whether it’s the perfectly choreographed White Chicks dance battle or the Dolphins pulling off a WWE-worthy wrestling match, these celebrations remind us that football isn’t just about grit and competition—it’s also about savoring the triumphs and creating memories that transcend the game. Here’s a breakdown of the best celebrations this year and whether or not they were flag-worthy.
10. Week 17: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Denver Broncos - Griddy

Bringing up the rear is Joe Burrow with the griddy heard around the world. Although not as impressive as some of the choreographed celly’s, this one had to be put on the list as Burrow noted it was the first time he “hit” the griddy - good job Joe!
9. Week 13: Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos - Kai Cenat’s Noodle Game

In week 13, the Browns defense celebrated their third interception of the season with a choreographed dance that took inspiration from streamer Kai Cenat’s “Noodle Game Challenge” from his month-long “Mafiathon 2” stream. This one is definitely flag-worthy!
8. Week 3: Minnesota Vikings vs. Houston Texans - Usher’s Glitch

In a nod to R&B legend Usher, the Vikings land another spot in the top 10 celebrations of 2024, with Camryn Bynum executing Usher’s viral Glitch dance with smooth choreography.
7. Week 17: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys - Hitting ‘The Q’

In Week 17, the Eagle’s defense brought the energy to a blowout game in Philly over the Dallas Cowboys by hitting the Q dance after a key turnover. The swagger and synchronization were on point, and in the Kelly Green uniforms too! Good job D!
6. Week 9: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Remember the Titans

Coming in at number six is DeAndre Hopkin’s ode to his former team and one of the most iconic football moves of all time - Remember the Titans. Who knows if Hopkins was trolling or honoring the Tennessee Titans, but either way everyone at GEHA Field seemed to enjoy it - even Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift!
5. Week 16: Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks - Camp Rock

As Camryn Bynum said, “90s babies this is for y’all!”. Taking the final spot in the top 5 are the celebration kings themselves, Bynum and Metellus. This one was definitely flag-worthy - and not just because it came against my beloved Seattle Seahawks. All in all, the Vikings proved once again that when it comes to celebrations, they’re in a league of their own.
4. Week 10: Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Rams - Wrestling Celebration

Tyreek Hill and Odell Beckham Jr. turned the football field into a wrestling ring during week 10. Much like this was a must-win game for the Dolphins following a three-game losing streak, this celebration proved that sometimes you have to dive headfirst to make a splash.
3. Week 5: Minnesota Vikings vs. New York Jets - Parent Trap Handshake

The Vikings clench another top 5 spot with their recreation of the classic ‘90s movie, The Parent Trap. After intercepting a pass from Aaron Rodgers, Bynum found Metellus to recreate the secret handshake. How fitting, considering the movie takes place in London - just like this game! Move over Hallie and Annie - Bynum and Metellus just redefined what it means to be a dynamic duo!
2. Week 9: Detriot Lions vs. Green Bay Packers - No Hands!

Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown hit a handstand celly during their victory over the Packers at Ford Field during week 9. Proving that not even gravity can bring down the powerhouse of Amon-Ra St. Brown. Pretty good St. Brown, I would definitely be tossing the flag at this!
Week 14: Minnesota Vikings vs. Atlanta Falcons - White Chicks Dance

Coming in at number one is the Minnesota Vikings, the celebration Kings of 2024 with multiple dances trending on social media week after week. Following a first-half interception by Vikings safety Josh Metellus he went to find his dance partner - Camryn Bynum and the two celebrated the interception with the iconic White Chicks dance battle scene. Definitely flag-worthy, what a celly!
Honorable Mention: Week 2 Seattle Seahawks at New England Patriots - George Washington Crossing the Delaware
Although not in the top ten, Seattle Seahawks DK Metcalf’s attempt at recreating the 1851 painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware had to be included in my list, definitely not because I am a Hawks fan...During a week 2 game at Gilette Stadium against the Patriots, Metcalf saw the opportunity following his touchdown to celebrate with the soldiers in the end zone. Only they were not as thrilled as DK to be celebrating a Seahawks touchdown which DK noted in his post-game press conference stating that it was “terrible”, but he had a good idea, and I couldn’t let this list be released without a Seahawks celly on here!
From the Gronk Spike to the Sexy Dexy, NFL celebrations have become a staple of the game, blending athletic triumph with trendy TikTok dances, iconic movie dance scenes, and sometimes pure theatrics. Over the years, these moments have transcended the sport turning players into viral sensations swarming our For You Pages. The 2024 season has been no exception, delivering a lineup of celebrations. And hey, if the NFL ever needs a halftime dance squad, they might not have to look any further than the end zone!
