New Food Items to Try This MLB Season

With MLB Opening Day less than a week away, it’s time to start planning a trip to the ballpark to watch your favorite team. And what’s better than enjoying some baseball along with a good meal? 


Whether you’re someone who enjoys the basic sporting event food, or someone who wants to try a unique dish, there’s something for everyone at MLB stadiums. Here are just a few of the new food items that you should treat your taste buds to this season.


Citizens Bank Park

At Citizens Bank Park this season, Philadelphia Phillies fans get the chance to try a few new menu items. If you’re looking for a dessert, the s'mores quesadilla, which is a flour tortilla filled with mini marshmallows and graham crackers served with a chocolate dipping sauce, might be your pick. If you’re looking for something savory, the Kyle’s Cutlets sandwich might be intriguing. This sandwich is a chicken cutlet topped with burrata, fried pepperoni, and arugula, topped with hot honey. With each sandwich purchase, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to player Kyle Schwarber’s foundation, Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes.


Chase Field

At Chase Field this season, Arizona Diamondbacks fans have more to look forward to than just the iconic churro dogs. The newest menu item is the Filthy Mac Fries, which are cajun-style fries topped with white cheddar mac-and-cheese, cheddar cheese, pork belly bacon, and cola BBQ sauce.


Citi Field

For any New York Mets fans looking for something limited edition this season, they can head to Citi Field for the newest burger option, the Fiesta Burger. This burger includes a taco spiced patty, and is topped with chipotle crema, Mexican cheese, and spicy guacamole. Fans can only get this burger during the first two months of the MLB season.


Wrigley Field

If you’re looking to enjoy something other than a traditional Chicago hot dog at a Chicago Cubs game this season, then this new sandwich at Wrigley Field might be for you. The Jibarito Sandwich features fried plantains as the bun, stuffed with roast beef, garlic butter, lettuce, tomato, and garlic aioli. 


Yankee Stadium

Yankee Stadium is known for featuring iconic partnerships in their stadium, and Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is the newest addition. Fans can choose between a few different types of dumplings, including Wagyu Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, and Buffalo Chicken.


Daikin Park

Houston Astros fans headed to Daikin Park this season may want to check out a few of their new menu items. If you’re looking for a new take on a hot dog, check out the Daddy Mac Dog, which is topped with brisket, mac and cheese, BBQ sauce, and a pickle. If that’s not your style, check out the Chicken Waffle Sandwich, which is a fried chicken sandwich topped with cheese, bacon onion jam, honey chipotle aioli, and placed between two Belgian waffles.


PNC Park

At PNC Park this season, Pittsburgh Pirates fans get the chance to try some new and unique menu items. The headliner is the Polish Cannonball, which is a fried ball filled with egg noodles, kielbasa, cabbage, bacon, cheddar cheese, and herb crema dip.


Oracle Park

If you’re looking for something a little more upscale at a game this season, San Francisco Giants fans can head to Oracle Park to find different styles of ramen. At Rah Rah Ramen, fans can choose between a Miso Ramen, which is egg noodles, tofu, bamboo, corn, carrot, scallion, mushrooms, and bean sprouts in a miso broth, and Shoyu Ramen, which is egg noodles, pork, bamboo, bean sprouts, scallions, and mushrooms in soy sauce.
