Out & About: What Have Your Favorite Athletes Been Up To?

With some leagues still in season and others entering or already in the offseason, many athletes are staying busy away from their respective sports. Every week, we’ll be recapping what your favorite athletes have been doing in their free time. So let’s check out this week’s edition!

Joe Burrow

While he might be one of the most well known quarterbacks in the NFL today both for his play and incredible fashion sense, Joe Burrow made headlines for a different reason over the weekend. The Bengals QB made his modeling debut by walking in Vogue’s Paris Fashion Show on Sunday, June 23. Burrow wore a chic, backless Peter Do suit with no shirt and paired with red bottom Louboutins to walk in the show and it’s safe to say, everyone around the world respectfully lost their minds over the quarterback’s look. And rightfully so! Burrow’s gameday arrival fits are always insane, but he seems to be stepping up his style game in more ways than one recently. Time to add “model” to his impressive resume.

Travis Kelce

Even if you aren’t a Taylor Swift or Kansas City Chiefs fan, you heard about what happened at Swift’s Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, June 23. The fans in attendance and the ones watching on live streams at home got a huge surprise during her performance of “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” as Kelce made a guest appearance as one of Swift’s dancers on stage! He knew all the choreography, mastered the acting required for the song and took on the role of carrying Swift downstage during the performance before the next song. Kelce shone bright in front of all 90,000 people at the concert and the internet will not be forgetting about this anytime soon.

Jessie Eldridge, Abby Roque and Elizabeth Giguere

The New York Liberty were squaring off against the Minnesota Lynx for the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup at UBS Arena on Tuesday, June 25 and some of the PWHL New York players showed up in support. Jessie Eldridge, Abby Roque and Elizabeth Giguere were courtside with rally towels and big smiles as they supported their fellow female athletes. Although the Liberty didn’t win the Commissioner’s Cup, seeing the three PWHL NY players in attendance was great and it seemed like all three of them enjoyed the experience of watching an WNBA game live.

Brady Tkachuk

It took seven games to determine who would win the Stanley Cup this season and the Florida Panthers ultimately came out on top to win their first Cup in franchise history. And luckily for Matthew Tkachuk, his entire family was in attendance for game seven and his younger brother, Brady, couldn’t have been happier about the win. Brady is the captain for the Ottawa Senators and although his team has not made the playoffs during his time there, he has always been famously spotted in the stands when Matthew is playing in the postseason. This season was no exception and it was really special seeing Brady support Matthew, but also be excited that his brother achieved their lifelong dream of winning the Stanley Cup.
