This NCAA gymnastics season has seen ten perfect 10s so far. With fewer 10s seen than in previous seasons, it’s even more exciting when a routine does get awarded a perfect score.

Let’s take a look at the first ten perfect 10s of the season!

Helen Hu (Mizzou) - Beam

Helen Hu scored the first perfect 10 of the season, which was also the first of her career. With her perfect 10 on beam in Week 3 at #1 Oklahoma, Hu earned the seventh 10 in Missouri’s program and fourth on beam, and she became the fifth Missouri gymnast to score a perfect 10. Hu initially retired after the 2023 season, but felt she had more to give for gymnastics and her team. And I couldn’t have been happier to see her score her long awaited perfect 10!

Jordan Chiles (UCLA) - Bars

Jordan Chiles scored the first perfect 10 on bars this season in Week 3 at Maryland. This was the fifth time Chiles has had a perfect score on bars and this was the ninth perfect score of her career. She is That Girl!

Chiles was perfect again two weeks later, this time on floor, in UCLA’s Big Ten matchup against Michigan State. As soon as Chiles stepped onto the floor to perform her exciting Prince-inspired routine, there was no doubt she would get her tenth perfect 10! In an Instagram post after the meet, Chiles said that being a part of UCLA gymnastics has helped her re-love competing and being on the competition floor.

Mya Lauzon (Cal) - Floor

Mya Lauzon scored a walk-off 10 in Week 6 vs. Stanford. Stanford was ahead of Cal by .025 after they finished their final rotation, and while Lauzon only needed to put up a 9.875 to give Cal the W, she topped off Cal’s night with a lights out performance. This was Lauzon’s first perfect 10 on floor, and she became the first Cal gymnast to have a perfect score on three events (she just needs one on bars for the Gym Slam).

Morgan Price (Fisk) - Bars

Morgan Price scored a perfect 10 on bars in Week 6 against Pennsylvania and Temple. This 10 was so incredible as it was the first 10 of her career, the first in Fisk’s program history, and Price became the first gymnast from a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) to score a perfect 10! Price’s program best bars score and all-around score contributed to Fisk earning their highest team score in program history.

Lilly Hudson (Alabama) - Floor

Lilly Hudson kicked off an explosive edition of Friday Night Heights in Week 7 with her first perfect 10 on floor. Hudson’s routine featured drilled landings, nailed leaps, and the Bama tradition of country line dancing. As soon as she brought her last tumbling pass to two feet, not even needing to take a controlled lunge, her score was a no-doubter!

Kennedy Griffin (Mizzou) - Floor

Kennedy Griffin’s Beyoncé-inspired floor routine earned her the second perfect 10 on floor in Missouri’s program history. She is now the sixth Tiger to score a 10. The Northeast Ohio native’s powerful floor routine led Missouri’s floor rotation to a score of 49.725, the best in program history!

Grace McCallum (Utah) - Bars

Grace McCallum scored the first perfect 10 of the season for Utah in their Week 7 meet at Arizona State. McCallum’s bars 10 was her fourth on the event and the fifth in her career. The 2020 Olympian’s senior year is off to a strong start!

Leanne Wong (Florida) - Beam

Leanne Wong scored Florida’s first 10 of the season in the Gators’ Link to Pink meet against Auburn. The Gators dominated the beam and put up a nation’s best score of 49.700 on the event. This was Wong’s third perfect 10 on beam and the ninth in her career.

Sloane Blakely (Florida) - Floor

Sloane Blakely brought even more excitement for the Gators when she put up the team’s second 10 of the night. Blakely has always been so much fun to watch on the floor, and her perfect routine last weekend was no exception. Please, nobody remind me that she and Wong are seniors!
