We are just a week away from the first grand prix of the year! Let’s take a look at the helmets the drivers will be sporting this season. With five rookies and tons of driver swaps, here's the rundown of this year’s designs.
Rookie Helmet Reveals

Ollie Bearman, Isack Hadjar, Jack Doohan, Kimi Antonelli, and Gabriel Bortoleto have revealed some beautiful helmets for their inaugural F1 season. Gabriel Bortoleto has opted for the colours of the Brazilian flag, representing his home country; a similar design to his Ayrton Senna tribute helmet from F2. He will be the first full-time Brazilian F1 driver in 9 years. Kimi Antonelli’s helmet also incorporates his home country, with the colours of the Italian flag used on the side of his helmet. As for Ollie Bearman, he has his unique bear logo displayed on the top of his helmet. Jack Doohan’s helmet incorporates both Alpine’s pink and blue colours, as well as the Australian flag. His helmet pays homage to his father, Mick Doohan, who is a five-time 500cc World Champion, and was integral to him getting into the racing.

Finally, Isack Hadjar is sporting a neon yellow, purple, and dark blue helmet with the iconic Red Bull logo on the sides. You can see an electron revolving around his number 9, which is meant to represent the nucleus. In his previous helmets, Hadjar has had various physics equations on his helmet, which is a nod to his father, who is a quantum physicist.
Lewis in Yellow

As Lewis Hamilton departs Mercedes, he has also left behind his neon yellow and purple helmet. Lewis has opted for a simple mustard yellow helmet with the Ferrari logo front and centre. Hamilton sported a yellow helmet early on in his career, originally inspired by the iconic Ayrton Senna.
Max’s New look

Max Verstappen’s new helmet brings him, as he says, "back to the roots," as his latest helmet was inspired by his karting helmet and father Jos Verstappen’s design. The reigning world champion’s helmet dons four gold stars on the back with the years of his championship wins. The helmet incorporates the red, white, and blue, notably the colours of the Dutch flag. It also has his famous lion symbol on the top of his helmet in red, paired with the Red Bull branding.
Returning Favourites

Fans are excited to see the return of Lando Norris’ neon helmet with LN4 logo and his 'blob' design. Alex Albon keeps to a similar colour scheme and design from last season, opting for a nice pink and blue combo to match the Williams blue and a matte finish.

As Carlos Sainz makes the move to Williams, his helmet has changed from Ferrari red to Williams blue, still keeping the Spanish flag, chilli pepper, and number font from his previous helmets.

A fan favourite is Yuki Tsunoda’s white helmet with the Red Bull logo and bronze coloured Japanese maple leaves, paying tribute to his home country in this beautiful, sleek design.
We hope you love this year’s helmets as much as we do. You can watch all these helmets race around the World starting March 16th in Melbourne, Australia for the opening race of the 2025 season.
