Who Was the Best Dressed at the 2024 MLB All-Star Game?

MLB's 2024 All-Star Week brought the heat in many different ways. Even with the new format, the Home Run Derby was one of the most competitive in recent years, the All-Star Game had many amazing moments, and the red carpet was one for the record books.

Before attending the main All-Star Game, players get the chance to show off their style and walk a red carpet with their family and significant others. Many players take this time to wear daring outfits that fans might never see them in for a regular game. Here are eight of the most stylish players on this year’s All-Star Game red carpet.

Jarren Duran

Before winning the All-Star Game MVP award for his go-ahead home run, Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran won the fashion MVP for his red carpet look. Despite it being his first all-star appearance, Duran was able to shine with the veterans in his floral suit.

Before walking the carpet, Duran was not quite sure about his daring look. He admitted that his tailor had to remind him that it was his first All-Star game, which was grounds for looking his best.

Inside of the suit, there are patches that match Duran’s personal messages. One patch reads “still alive,” referring to Duran’s past struggles with mental health which he has been very vocal about.

Shohei Ohtani

It’s hard to keep your eyes off of superstar Shohei Ohtani, even when he’s off the field. In his first red carpet appearance as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Ohtani brought the cuteness.

Last season, the internet went wild when Ohtani announced he adopted a dog named Decoy. This year, Ohtani was able to showcase his dog inside of his brown suit. He even admitted to picking the color of his suit to match Decoy.

Bobby Witt Jr.

After making it to the finals of the Home Run Derby the night before, Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. needed a sharp look to stand out. The Texas native credited his fiancée for helping him pick out his dark green suit.

While Witt Jr. doesn’t think he’s a very fashionable guy, his stylist and fiancée cooked up a perfect red carpet outfit, consisting of a custom made suit, Cucinelli shoes, and Cartier accessories.

Alec Bohm

While there were others dressed in this style at the red carpet, no one wore it like Alec Bohm. The Philadelphia Phillies third baseman delivered in his blue floral suit the night after showing off in the Home Run Derby as the number one seed.

Inside of Bohm’s jacket, you’ll find one of the most unique touches of the day. Instead of a plain fabric, Bohm decided to honor all of the teams that he played for before joining the Phillies. Although he may be an All-Star now, he never wants to forget the journey it took to get there.

CJ Abrams

The Washington Nationals shortstop opted for a lighter look than most, making him stand out amongst the other players at the red carpet. The entire ensemble together, including the glasses and the chain, makes Abrams one of the best dressed there.

Elly De La Cruz

The breakout star for the Cincinnati Reds decided to stay on theme in Texas by wearing a country inspired look. The pink suit, along with the cowboy hat, was something many players decided to bypass in their looks, yet De La Cruz pulls it off perfectly.

De La Cruz remained true to his personality within his look, adding sparkly shoes, sunglasses, and a stack of chains. The shortstop drew one of the biggest crowds of the red carpet, with many fans gathering to see what the young star was wearing to his first All-Star Game.

Juan Soto

This All-Star Game and red carpet appearance was far from superstar Juan Soto’s first rodeo. Each year, Soto works with stylists in the Dominican Republic to create the perfect suit for the event, and this year was no exception.

Soto discussed the origins of his baby blue suit on the red carpet with reporters, detailing the time it took to make the perfect suit. While the outfielder didn’t have the call to say he was an All-Star yet, his stylists knew they should start preparing early in the season.

Hunter Greene

While Reds pitcher Hunter Greene took the loss in the All-Star Game, his outfit was a total win. Embracing the country lifestyle like his teammate De La Cruz, Greene opted for a cowboy hat and fringe jacket.

While many chose a country outfit for the red carpet, not many pulled it off like Greene did. The fringe paired perfectly with the leather pants and snake skin boots, and it was a vibe fit for Texas.
